As executive producer for Birthwrite Records & beatmaker/producer for various artists including: Diverse, La Symphony, Mars ILL, Illogic, Blueprint, Psalm One, Thaione Davis, Nacrobats, Lord 360, Verbal Kent & others, Overflo is a man who never sleeps. Originally from all over, he moved to Chicago in 1998, and started making music with various artists throughout the city. By 2002, he co-founded Birthwrite and went on to release his first EP "Six Shades of the Same Color." He has always been dedicated to perfecting his craft, and it has been noticeable in his work over the years. In 2003 he released a limited edition CD-R "Unrap-It's a dangerous world" which is a collection of beats from 1999-2003 that had never been released in instrumental form. In 2004, he has been hard at work in the studio with Thaione & Psalm One, as well as keyboardist Kenny Keys & guitarist Armando Perez of Foundation.
Overflo uses all types of gear to make beats including, 2 Technics 1200's, Vestax Mixer, Radio Shack Mixer, Behringer 16 track Eurorack, Reason, Acid 3.0, Logic Audio, Pro Tools, Sony Vegas, Acoustic & Electric Guitars, Roland XP10 Keyboard, & about 2500 records from all over the world. His beat-making is organic and melodic blending samples and live instrumentation over incredible rhythmic drum programming. His music is highly influenced by many genres including downtempo, blues, hip hop, jazz, rock, & electronic. His first full length instrumental album will be available through Birthwrite Records and it is currently titled "Down."
